This reinforced Nylon Perforation Unit features 3 Intersecting Rows of needles.
The tapered steel pins are 0.24mm (33’s WG) diameter, each one demonstrating a crucial pin projection of exactly 5.2mm
The moulding tolerance on this perforator must be to minus .01mm / minus .02mm
The 3 rows of pins must all be impeccably aligned, and all display equal needle projection.
Carbon Fibre Weaving Reeds
This 50mm moulded pinned weaving reed is used in the carbon fibre weaving industry
It has 2 rows of 9 pins per inch
Moulded at less than 1mm apart
Tolerances are critical
These Brass Needle Reeds Are Drilled & Cut To House Flat Pins
Our drilling capability is a skill that takes decades to achieve.
With no room for error, the flat pins must hold securely in the brass bar, so drills are hand-made to suit individual pin sizes.
The cutting process involves a series of hand-made 'cutters' that increase in length and width.
The series which can often involve a sequence of 20 different cutters, which are then used painstakingly and methodically to cut the holes to the exact size
Example of Extrusion Plate with triangular holes
A Drilled 'Small Circle' which was used in the Wool Preparation Industry. This was pinned with both round and flat needles and used on the well known 'Noble Comb'
Brass Gas Jet Screw drilled with one hole Ø 0.25mm.
To ensure maximum accuracy, all of our drills are made by hand
Client requested a pin protrusion sample
The pin projection of 0.25mm was barely visible to the naked eye
These long pinned bars are used in carbon fibre production
100mm length, pinned bars used in carbon fibre production
90mm Height, these pinned bars are for use in carbon fibre production
These pinned bars are manufactured with custom-made parallel pins
These components were machined & drilled to exact client requirements
University Research Project
These curved inserts are manufactured for the beauty industry.
All tooling was meticulously planned & then created in-house.
The radius on these pinned inserts measures 21.5mm.
Pinning technology is pushed to its' limits.
17.5mm Radius curved pinned inserts.
Tolerances are critical as these are fitted into pre-moulded handles.
The curved inserts have special gold plated teeth which promotes a delicate pinning process. Existing equipment had to be significantly modified.
